CFF's 2008 Golf Tournament a Big Success!
Nearly 150 golfers hit the links at beautiful Brookside Country Club

Some 148 WPHA members enjoyed a day of socializing and playing golf in early June on the beautiful links at the Brookside Country Club in Stockton, during CFF's annual golfing tournament. Unlike last year, when golfers had to endure wind gusts up to 40 mph, the weather cooperated this year with sunny, blue skies and gentle winds. The day consisted of a luncheon barbecue, a putting contest as well as a round of golf, topped off with a banquet dinner and a slew of prizes being raffled off. The event this year raised more than $30,000.

A Very Special Thanks to Those Who Helped Make it Happen

Our appreciation goes out to the more than 100 supporting companies who participated in the ninth annual California Fertilizer Foundation Golf Tournament. Golfers enjoyed a day of networking, golf and good food and prizes at this once again sell-out event. The funds obtained will be utilized by California schools to learn about what it takes for plants to grow. The School Garden Grant Program will continue to provide funds to 24 schools annually and resources and outreach programs will encourage youth and educators to better understand agriculture and the nutrients plants require.
